I’m prone to talk to the sun just like a friend awake in high season there’s some weeds growing up from between the rocks to pick up on the same conversation and I begin to flourish orange sunburnt in the shape of perfection useless for any task created by a human I stare direct toward This Abundant Life it’s shining they say exposure to the sun prevents burning
field of vision expanded celebrate the beginning as eternity continues in waking life’s ending

Bug 03:10
bug that flies around my skull gets stuck in the willows of hair I told it not to go there and dies in the sunlit mistaken nest it dies in the sunlit mistaken nest we put on our blindfolds and remove our pants in attempt to find pleasure in the spatially near you manifest in foreign bodies she has your smile he has your hair and soon enough I can't see you anywhere I can't see you anywhere

about

This Abundant Life is a song from a new Sham album 'Field of Vision Expanded' coming out next year. Recorded at home on Tascam reel to reel spring 2021 featuring many friends. Written in upstate New York while living on Magic Forest Farm summer of 2020, getting sunburnt to a crisp.

Bug was written during the same time on the farm but fell into a crack between two time periods. It feels almost like a song that belonged on Wild Life of North America, subject wise and musically, but came a couple months too late. It seems appropriate to release it between the two records as it stands as an ending to the Wild Life era, and This Abundant Life is a feeling of a new start, not as weighed down by trying to be somewhere else than exactly where I am.

The cover is painted by the incredible beloved Calypso Keane.

Thank you Nina, Jarrett, Zoie, J, Mikey, Calypso, and Madeleine!!
